Prior to getting this sleep sack we used a lighter weight sleep sack that he had recently outgrown. Now that its getting colder, we knew we had to transition him to a thicker sleep sack. The sleep nest was just the ticket! It has the look and feel of a duvet as well as the warmth. Here's what I like about it: COZY AND WARM. It is the perfect weight for the winter. We dress my son it lightweight cotton pajamas and put the duvet over him. His room goes to about 68-69 degrees at night and when he wakes up in the morning his is neither too hot or too cold. He's just right - just like baby bears's porridge. We've noticed that since switching to this sleep nest that our son also sleeps longer. DESIGN. Finally! I modern looking sleep sack that isn't full of ugly animals or patterns. SHOULDER SNAPS. This makes for easy on and off. When my son stands up in his crib I just unsnap and pull it down. Its also great for putting an already sleeping baby to bed. ROOM TO GROW. We ordered the large size for my 12 month old 22lb 32" baby. He was just a little bit too tall for the medium so we sized up even though he fit the weight limit. Luckily the large is still small enough to fit him but he still has tons of room to grow. The packaging claims this one should fit up to 36 months. My son is in the 97th percentile for height so we will see about that! My only complaint about the sleep nest is that I wish it was a little cheaper! However, I still believe it was a great investment. I just wish I could afford to buy a second one! My son actually smiles and laughs when he sees the sleep nest because he knows its time for bed. He's a lot happier when he's put to bed and sleeps better at night now that we use it. What more could a mom ask for? UPDATE: After only 2.5 months of use I have to reduce my score to a 3. My son LOVES this sleep sack but the fabric has torn in the front and it certainly hasn't been near anything sharp! The fabric is a VERY thin cotton so I am actually not at all surprised that it has frayed. I am just surprised it couldnt even last one season. So sad!
